Domestic Coffee Prices
Today, domestic coffee prices range from 122,300 to 123,500 VND/kg, with an average of 123,200 VND/kg, marking a significant increase of 2,000 VND from the previous day. The highest purchase price is in Dak Nong Province at 123,500 VND/kg, while the lowest is in Lam Dong Province at 122,300 VND/kg.
Global Coffee Market
The increase in coffee prices is primarily due to concerns about drought in Vietnam and Brazil, which may lead to lower-than-expected production for the upcoming season. Additionally, the easing strength of the USD has led Brazilian farmers to limit their sales due to receiving fewer local currency units.
The September 2024 Arabica Coffee Futures Contract has rebounded strongly. Specifically, the settlement price on July 5th was 228.95 cents/pound, up 2.12% from the previous session.
