Domestic coffee price situation:
Today, domestic coffee prices range from 119,000 to 120,200 VND/kg. The average buying price in the Central Highlands is currently 120,100 VND/kg, with the highest price at 120,200 VND/kg in Dak Nong province.
Global coffee price situation
Coffee prices are also under pressure as the harvest in Brazil progresses smoothly and faster than expected. Market research firm Safras & Mercado (Brazil) estimates that about 37% of the new coffee crop in Brazil has been harvested so far, compared to 34% last year. Forecasts indicate that the weather will remain cool and dry in the coming days, supporting the ongoing harvest. Additionally, coffee prices are pressured downwards as the USD strengthens significantly.
The price of Coffee Arabica Futures for July 2024 is trending downward. Specifically, the settlement price on June 14 is 224.15 cents/pound, a decrease of 0.84% from the previous day.
