U.S. Stock Market Situation

The U.S. stock market edged up slightly on Thursday as investors anxiously awaited a key inflation report that could reshape expectations for the Federal Reserve's monetary policy in the near future. At the close, the S&P 500 index rose 0.09% to 5,482.87 points. The Nasdaq index increased by 0.3%, reaching 17,858.68 points. The Dow Jones index gained 0.09%, closing at 39,164.06 points.

U.S. Treasury Bonds Situation

The yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury bond reversed and fell to 4.286%.

Dollar Index Situation

The Dollar Index turned down 0.12%, falling to 105.93. The U.S. dollar depreciated against most currencies during the last session, pressured by dismal economic data from the world's largest economy.

Gold Situation

Global gold prices reversed and surged, with spot gold increasing by $29.6 to $2,329.4 per ounce. Gold futures were last traded up $25.5 from the previous early morning session, reaching $2,338.7 per ounce.

Commodity Trading Market Situation

At the end of the trading session on June 27, oil prices rose due to concerns about supply disruptions from increasing geopolitical pressures in the Middle East and Europe. However, an unexpected rise in U.S. gasoline inventories limited oil's upward momentum. Brent crude oil prices increased by $1.14, or 1.34%, to $86.39 per barrel, a new high since early May but still far from the $90 per barrel mark recorded in early April. U.S. WTI crude oil prices rose by 84 cents, or 1.04%, to $81.74 per barrel.
