External factors have strongly influenced today, with crude oil prices dropping by 2.24 USD/barrel and the USD index rising by 515 points.

The weakness in wheat also exerted a spreading pressure. The Export Inspection and Harvest Progress data will be delayed until Tuesday due to Veterans Day earlier in the week.

According to AgRural, as of last Thursday, Brazil’s first corn crop had been planted at 72%.

The December 2024 contract ended with a settlement price of 430 cents/bushel, down 1 cent, equivalent to a 0.23% decrease.

Wheat

External pressure from a stronger USD index, which rose by 515 points, weighed on the market. The return of rain to the Southern Plains over the weekend added some pressure on the winter wheat market.

Rainfall from last week may improve the condition ratings, with the Harvest Progress report set to be released on Tuesday afternoon.

The December wheat contract closed with a settlement price of 565.5 cents/bushel, down 7 cents, equivalent to a 1.22% decrease.

Soybeans

Weekly reports on Export Inspection and Harvest Progress will be delayed until Tuesday due to Veterans Day on Monday. As of last Thursday, soybean planting in Brazil had reached 67%, 6 percentage points faster than the same period last year.

Rain is expected in previously dry areas of Brazil next week.

The January 2025 soybean contract ended with a settlement price of 1022.25 cents/bushel, down 8 cents, equivalent to a 0.78% increase.
