Corn

The Buenos Aires Grain Exchange expects to see a 17% drop in Argentina corn area for the 2024/25 crop at 15.5 million acres.

Corn prices failed to maintain their upward momentum and declined in Tuesday's session. The settlement price for September Corn Futures on August 20th was 375 cents per bushel, down 0.79% from the previous session.

Soybean

USDA reported private export sales of 2024/25 soybeans on Tuesday morning, with 132,000 MT to China and 239,492 MT sold to Mexico. 

Chinese imports in July totaled 9.85 MMT, with 9.12 MMT originating from Brazil and 475,392 MT from the US. 

The price of September Soybean Futures continued its upward trend. The settlement price on August 20th was 957.25 cents per bushel, edging up 0.1% compared to the previous session.

Wheat

Japan has issued a tender for 81,442 MT of wheat from the US and Canada, with 53,562 MT US specific. EU exports of soft wheat have totaled 3.55 MMT for the marketing year from July 1 through August 18, down from the 4.53 MMT in the same period last year. SovEcon raised their Russian wheat production estimate by 0.4 MMT to 83.3 MMT on Tuesday.

The price of September Wheat Futures recovered. The settlement price on August 20th was 533 cents per bushel, up 0.9% compared to the previous session.
