U.S. Stock Market Update on November 19:The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 1.04% to 18,987.47 points, and the S&P 500 increased 0.4% to 5,916.98 points. In contrast, the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.28% to 43,268.94 points.

According to LSEG Lipper, global equity funds attracted over $49 billion in the week ending November 13, marking the largest inflow since January 2014.

The USD temporarily eased to 106.1, and the yield on 10-year U.S. Treasury bonds fell to 4.388% on the morning of November 20.

China’s Monetary Policy:The People’s Bank of China decided today to keep the 1-year Loan Prime Rate (LPR) unchanged at 3.1% and the 5-year LPR at 3.6%.

Bruce Pang, Chief Economist and Head of China Research at JLL, stated that "there is no immediate need to adjust the LPR this month," adding that Chinese policymakers may still be assessing the impact of recent stimulus measures aimed at boosting the economy.

Gold Market:By the end of trading on November 19, spot gold prices rose 0.8% to $2,632.68 per ounce, while gold futures increased 0.8% to $2,635.50 per ounce.

Other Commodities:

• December silver futures edged up 0.1% to $31.417 per troy ounce.

• January 2025 platinum futures reached $978.6 per troy ounce.

Crude Oil Market:WTI crude oil futures gained 0.33% to $69.39 per barrel, while Brent crude oil edged up to $73.31 per barrel, despite Ukraine launching long-range missile attacks on Russia using U.S.-manufactured weapons.
