Gold Market: Spot gold contracts fell 0.2% to $2,742.49 per ounce at the close of trading on October 28. Gold futures remained steady at $2,755.0 per ounce.

Commodity Trading Market: Crude oil futures were sold off, with WTI crude contracts dropping 6.13% to $67.38 per barrel, marking the sharpest decline in two years. Brent crude fell 6.09% to $71.42 per barrel.

Reason for the Sell-Off: The drop in oil prices was attributed to Iran's energy facilities remaining undamaged after an Israeli attack over the weekend. Oil industry operations continued normally, according to the oil news network Shana.

Metals Market: December 2024 silver settlement prices rose to over $34 per troy ounce, up 0.7% from the end of last week. January 2025 platinum prices also increased to $1,046.8 per troy ounce. In contrast, December copper prices fell 0.2% compared to the end of last week.
